Van Gogh in America will be the largest Van Gogh exhibition in America in a generation featuring paintings, drawings and prints from museums and collectors worldwide.
Van Gogh in America will also celebrate the 100th anniversary of the DIA becoming the first public museum in the U.S. to acquire a Van Gogh painting – his Self-Portrait (1887).
Just to show you how important the show is, I was speaking with James hanks the director of archives and collections at the DIA. He told me "We have significantly beefed up security for the Van Gogh exhibit" I guess we can understand why. Enjoy the show.
