One thing I have learned as a practicing artist is Lumber yards offer great materials for art making at very reasonable costs. At Bolyard Lumber in Birmingham, they let me have scored plywood for next to nothing. Then the guys in the yard cut it for me for a nominal rate.

Once I get the wood home ,I measure it against a piece of fine art paper
to create a digital print

The next step is the glueing process. After I make a digital print, I adhere the art work to the plywood support with bookbinding glue.

Now the composition is taking shape. The print is mounted on the board
and we can continue the process of creating an abstract painting or collage.
